Clients learn valuable work skills necessary to achieve employment in the community. Our training programs are designed to meet each individual where his/her skill level is. Our trained staff help the individuals to build on their skills through support and guidance to achieve their goals.
We offer a variety of programs to learn specific job skills to prepare for employment in the community. Our Programs include production work, material handling, janitorial skills, clerical/receptionist, retail/grocery store skills, and lawn care.
Clients earn a paycheck fulfilling orders from local businesses. There are various types of jobs to suit each individual's abilities. They also learn important job requirements such as fine motor skills, problem solving, following directions, workplace etiquette, safety skills, time management, and positive communication skills.
Material Handling is essential in any production / assembly environment. Clients learn how to properly handle various types of materials, safe lifting techniques, safety skills, how to follow a schedule, how to fulfill orders and follow directions, communication skills, problem solving skills, and leadership skills.
Our custodial program teaches skills necessary to achieve employment as a janitor. Clients learn proper cleaning techniques, universal precautions, following a schedule, proper handling of cleaning products, trash disposal, safety skills, time management, problem solving, and communication skills.
This program prepares clients to seek employment as a receptionist or similar in the clerical field. They learn skills such as customer service, answering phones, taking messages, recording attendance, processing incoming and outgoing mail, basic computer skills, problem solving, business etiquette, and positive communication.
This program teaches skills to prepare clients to work in the retail or grocery field. They learn skills such as how to count money and make change, run a cash register, price products, inventory control, how to stock shelves and rotate stock, sales, customer service, positive communication, problem solving, how to follow directions, and time management.
The lawn care program prepares clients to work in the lawn care industry. Clients learn how to properly use lawn care equipment such as push mowers, weed trimmers, riding and zero-turn mowers. Clients also learn safety skills, proper clean-up and care of lawn equipment, following directions, problem solving, time management, customer service, and positive communication.
